With no other choice, Vathirumus buys the plated robes. Having them is better than going out in rags only to get stabbed before the fight even starts. After buying the new robes, along with changing into them, he sets off to the weapon store, so he can actually fight back instead of punching the steel armor of his foes to no avail, even though he rarely engages in combat directly.

((I suspect that shop keeper to be a traitor, it's the only possible explanation to why he's using Ygg'darite Obsidian as currency rather than Rujinian Gold!))

[To answer that question, I was tired and thus I have to edit it. I just copy paste stuff from previous posts except for the description on what happens. I will likely make a lot of mistakes during this.]

Wilhem looks from the map back to the beast. He shrugs as he lifts the rifle to his eye, putting the crosshairs where he believed the creature's temple to be.

Galdrids stomach grumbles, reminding him to buy food. So he walks to the market.

[Vathirumus] You decide to buy the plated robes in replacement of those old filthy rags you once wore. You start heading off to the weapons store. Upon entry, you see countless weapons hung up on racks, you approach the shop keeper and ask to browse the goods available to you.

Takes the enchanted staff, not wanting to tear away the rest of his money, as he only has so much. After that, he heads to the goods store, in hopes of finding food.

Wilhem frowned, he had hoped to kill the beast with no trouble. He sighed but then began to hold his breath as he slowly squeezed the trigger.

Brand sat there, staring at the options for his armor. The powered suits were enticing, though the hole that had seemed to appear in his pocket during the time on his own smacked down his want for the best and even the second best suits of armor. His philosophy was that a good offense was a good defense, so he opted for the standard armor a soldier would wear and headed off for the weapon's store, expecting to spend the rest of his vast fortune there. While food was something to consider, he could always trap or hunt wildlife.

Galdrid decides to accept the offer, free is free, right? He heads off to accept his first mission!

[Vathirumus] You buy the enchanted staff and toss away that old stick you were carrying around, the staff has a better feel than that lousy old stick anyway. You start heading to the goods store and a Ygg'darite approaches you offering you free cheap food, though there are likely better goods inside the store.

[Wilhem] Just as soon as you nearly squeeze the trigger all the way, the wild He'kuun charges at you and starts pecking away, but before it gets to you, you fire off a round out of instinct. The He'kuun still stands as you missed the head and vital organs, the beast continues to attack you.

[Galdrid] You accept the free food from the friendly Rujinian and store it in your food bags, you head off to the council building to accept your first mission from Ne'toz. Upon arrival, three councilmen and Ne'toz look to you. Before you can say a word, Ne'toz interrupts. "Another child of R'jun seeks to help us in these dark times it seems. Good, you will be quite the addition to the army, Galdrid. Though R'jun does not directly contact us anymore, I still contact it. Now then, you're quite an eager fellow and I will give you your first task. Dethens. The Ygg'darites brought these unnatural beasts along with them during their last assault. I want you to thin their population as much as possible, 15 should do for you. Now go, Galdrid. Show us you have what it takes to be a Hero." After those words are said, you merely bow your head down and head back into the Town Square.

Galdrid quickly takes the quickest path through the sundered forest, searching eagerly for the beasts he was assigned to kill.

Vathirumus accepts the food, hoping not to cut away his last bit of money. It's not the best, and certainly isn't what he hoped for, but it will do until he gets more money. After this, he heads off the store to get his first task from his god.

Wilhem swears but then calmly lets out his breath, he slowly inhales and puts the cross-hairs between the beast's eyes. Wilhem holds his breath as he slowly, carefully squeezes the trigger.

Brand walks into the weapon shop and jingles his pocket, reminding himself of his low funds. He ignores his own conscious warning, and buys the most expensive thing he can afford: the Burst Fire Plasma Rifle. He gripped it, allowing his hands to get the feel of it. It was nice to have a good, new weapon in his hands. He spent his money and moved on to the council chamber, ready for his first mission, the idea of food far from his mind.

[Galdrid] Without any second thoughts you take the quickest route you currently know to the Sundered Forest in order to find those vicious Dethens. Upon arrival you are surrounded by burnt trees and the corpses of both Ygg'darites and Rujinians, animals included.

[Vathirumus] You accept the offer and put it away after thanking the friendly Ygg'darite, though it isn't all that great you think it'll keep you going for a while until you get more money. You head off to the Throne Room to receive your mission from your mighty God, Ygg'daron. Upon entry a voice almost immediately enters your head. "Another Ygg'darite to my service... Good. You will be among many to do my bidding. Indeed, you will help me destroy the Rujinian Empire of Tes'ilia, but first, you need some actual training... Just look at you, mere standard armor, weapon and cheap food. Now, you will head out to the Dead Plains. He'kuuns, though they won't attack on sight, they are pests and need to be ripped to shreds. I want you to thin their population, once you have killed at least 25 of them, head to the town in the Dead Plains, there your grand journey will begin" the voice exits your head, you merely bow your head and exit the Throne Room. The voice was overwhelming.

Upon entering the council building, the councilmen and Ne'toz all look at you and before you can say a word... "Yet another child of R'jun seeks to help us in these dark times. Good, you will be quite the addition to the army, Brand. Though R'jun does not directly contact us anymore, I still contact it. Now then, you're quite an eager fellow and I will give you your first task. Dethens. The Ygg'darites brought these unnatural beasts along with them during their last assault. Show us you have what it takes to be a Hero." with that, you merely nod your head in agreement and leave the building to the 'Town Square'

Wilhem looks at the beast's corpse and wondered if he should scrap off some meat. He shrugged as he decided against it and continued exploring.

Galdrid looks among the corpses thinking to himself, "Guess i'm late to the party?" He moves to inspect the corpses to see who could have caused all this death. Then takes a look at his map, seeing there's a village near-by, he decides that possibly they could know what happened, and heads towards it.

Vathirumus heads to the Dead Plains.

(( You called me Galdrid >.< )) Brand shrugs, unhappy with his current position. Once in the town square, he runs a quick check on his equipment, making sure his weapons are loaded and his armor is strapped tight, then he makes for the Sundered Forest, ready for his great new role in the army as an exterminator. He sighs as he thinks about it.

(Son of a motherfuckin' bitch. I knew I made a mistake!))

[Wilhem] After exploring for a good thirty (human) minutes, you come across another wild He'kuun that pays absolutely no attention to you as it goes about its business. From experience it's not wise to make aggressive gestures toward it in the open. Perhaps you should hide somewhere first.

[Galdrid] You look at the corpses on the ground and inspect the incinerated bodies. It doesn't exactly take an expert to figure out what caused it but you head to the village nearby to confirm it, stuffing your map away, about half-way to the village you come across a wild Dethen which immediately begins reacting hostile to you as it's apart of the Ygg'darite faction.

Galdrid quickly draws his blade, charging at the beast, letting out a roar. He spins the sword in his hand, then thrusts it at the beast.


((Edit: Lmao, it was late when I posted it, didn't think that it simply could have been a fire or something less then sinister. Cut me some slack.))

Brand looks at the morbid scene before him and resolves to ask around the nearest villages. He was no tracker, but he felt like he owed the council SOMETHING since his appointed task was no longer attainable. Hunkering behind a burnt tree, he takes a look at his map, then heads off to the village closest to the battlefield. He prayed to R'jun, hoping the village is okay.
