Fate of Varlgodra [RPGRP]

[Wilhelm] As you enter the thick trees and underbrush, you begin to hear voices...after questioning your mentality, you began to follow them...and stumbled across two Rujinian scouts. You recognize one as one of the guards to your tent, and the other seemed more brutal, more feral. Most likely he bred or handled some of the hounds.

They talked loudly, to hear each other over the rain. However, they talked a little too loudly and you heard the words "Captain" and "Basecamp". Hoping for information, you begin to think of what to do...

Wilhelm's options

Attempt to jump/take out the guards from cover
Walk in headstrong
Sit and listen, perhaps for the whole night
Think of something else to do that's suitable? Do it.

[Vathirumus] You get out to make sure everything is alright...however, it does not seem that way. The driver has vanished. In the mist and fog and rain, you hear something on the perimeter...whatever it is, it sounds quite hungry. Your soldiers reamin undaunted, however. They set up in a small triangle around you, ready to defend you should the attackers try anything.

As their commander, it's up to you to call the shots.

Move on without the wagon
Set up someone else to drive [with or without someone atop the wagon as a guard]
Try to buckle down and defend from the wagon, which is effectively a tank
Attempt to lure your foes out, taunt them or search for them

[Galdrid] As you jump out, you notice who/what your opponents are...they are giants. Standing roughly 3 feet over you, these things seem to have come straight out of a scary story that elders used to scare youngsters at night. Brand seemed to be firing like crazy from atop the wagon, though the driver is being torn at relentlessly regardless. They are oblivious to you, and very sluggish.

There are three of them. Two taking on the driver, and one nearing Brand. Take your pick.

No other characters currently exist.

Wilhem finds a relatively comfortable place to listen to the Rujinians, finding a place where he can still hear them but not be seen, also placing him into a position to attack if necessary.

Vathirumus tries to lure the attackers out.

Galdrid decides that Brand can fend for himself, he sprints to the giants near the driver, and slashes their legs.

[Wilhelm] Hunkering down, you sit and listen to them. While the rain is loud, they continue to talk loudly, allowing you to hear broken conversations.

"Captain thinks it's...well of course they're hungry!...yeah, she's got two on the way...damn this rain!...so I heard that you and..."

Most of it was idle chatter such as this. However...

"So you think the Captain plans to move any closer to the city by this week?"

"Nah, he's on edge. That Ygg'darite scout we found earlier cold still be out there. Probably going to stay within this area on the plains for the next few days."

"Hm...well, hold my rifle. I gotta piss."

You hear rustling coming toward your hiding spot. The rain is extremely heavy right now, but if he gets too close and notices you, you'd end up in the camp again...under a more strict guard.

Someone is close to discovering you. What to do?

[Vathirumus] You order your men to attempt to get your foes out into the open. They shout and fire off a few shots from their heavy-duty plasma rifles, hoping to taunt whatever was out there into the open. As they do so, you hear chatter...you can't tell if it's the chattering of an animal or a rujinian.

A shape reveals itself in the mist nearly 25 feet away, on the border of your vision. It's tall, and seems to just stand there. The men look to you for orders, not wanting to botch their assignment for Ygg'daron.

Up to you. Something has revealed itself to your threats, and seems to stand just out of your field of vision, watching. Tell your men to attack, try to communicate, whatever floats your boat at this point.

[Galdrid] The large hominids roar in anger as you slash open the backs of their legs on your charge by, and turn all attention on you. You can hear that Brand is still trying to deal with his beast, and you can expect no help with your pair. They ready to charge, but didn't gauge the wounds on their legs well enough. They stumble slightly toward you, giving you a second chance to cripple them further.

Before your next move, you noticed their looks. Their were large stitches over much of their body, and you could see that their hides were different colors in some places, like splotches. Their massive hands and feet resembled stretched and deformed paws. The legs were akin to a large cat's, like a lion or tiger, only thicker and larger. The arms were hominid until it reached the hands. Their fingers were paw-like, but the fingers seemed posable along with a thumb. What was really important was that they were clawed. You couldn't see the faces though.

You're fighting, so choose your next move and target(s).

Vathirumus tries to communicate with the thing watching them after telling his men to be ready to shoot is as soon as it shows any signs of hostility. He calmly says "Start walking towards us, raise a weapon, try to fight, or try to run, and we gun you down."

Wilhem would wait until the guard who's using the restroom gets very close and would then spring out of his hiding spot and, unless stopped, would plunge his pistol into the man's stomach and fire twice before turning and shooting at the other man.

Galdrid attempts to further open their wounds by stabbing through the other side of their legs.
